Vineyard Information
Location: Valle Central, Chile (Central Valley – approximately 350 km south of Santiago between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes)
Climate: Mediterranean climate with warm days and cool nights. This diurnal temperature variation allows the grapes to fully ripen whilst still preserving the natural acidity of the grapes in the cool of the night.
Soil: Variety of soils, predominantly alluvial and loamy with gravel subsoil which are favourable for optimum grape growing.
Winemaking Details
Grape Variety: 100% Viognier
Fermentation: The grapes are handpicked at their optimum ripeness and destemmed, crushed and transferred to the pneumatic press. Cool fermentation (15-17ºC) in stainless steel tanks lasts approximately 3 weeks and preserves subtle aromatics and freshness.
Maturation: The wine spends 2 months on the lees, which imparts complexity and texture on the palate.
TASTING NOTE
PALE GOLDEN, CLEAN AND BRIGHT IN COLOUR. AROMAS OF WHITE PEACH, WITH SUBTLE NOTES OF PEAR AND JASMINE. A FULL AND BALANCED WINE WITH ELEGANT NOTES OF HAZELNUTS AND A FRESH FINISH. APPEALING AS AN APERITIF OR CAN BE ENJOYED WITH LIGHT FISH AND CHICKEN DISHES OR ASIAN INSPIRED CUISINE.
